Father Christmas and his reindeer ride in to town as part of this year’s Christmas Parade, closely followed by his elves and a host of spectacular festive characters including some special guests from Madagascar Live!
Leading the parade of floats is a traditional nativity scene, closely followed by real camels carrying the three wise men. The parade has a real fairytale ending with Cinderella and her Prince Charming riding in a Golden Coach with animatronic horses.
You can visit the reindeer, camel and donkey pens situated in Chamberlain Square before and after the parade and an aerialist will perform a breathtaking sequence from inside an eight metre high candle hourly from 4pm - 6pm. Visitors can also download a personal momento of their visit with a photograph from inside a giant Snowglobe which will be in Victoria Square between midday and 7pm.
Leaving from Victoria Square, the Christmas Parade makes its way through the heart of Birmingham city centre - Colmore Row, Temple Row West, Temple Row, Bull Street, High Street, New Street – before returning to Victoria Square. Optimal viewing areas include Temple Row West, Temple Row and Bull Street.
