A grotesque union of three songwriters from Huddersfield, Birmingham, and London, Taplin, Tattersdill, and Jones first joined forces in 2011 to produce the Hallowe’en themed ‘Spooky EP’. Building on that record’s blend of balladish songsmanship, frantic lyricism, and insane acoustic guitar solos, they’re now beginning work on a full-length album.
St Paul's is blessed with some of the finest acoustics in the city of Birmingham. It is a Grade I listed building, built in 1779 and set in a timeless Georgian square with beautiful rolling lawns and tree-lined walks; An oasis of calm in the heart of the city.

Moselele is the second best Ukulele group in all of Moseley. We welcome both beginners and people who can already play and anyone who wants to have a go at quite an eclectic range of songs. We cover almost everything from Johnny Cash to the Flaming Lips via Bon Jovi. This is not a gig so if you come along we hope you will take part in absolutely anyway you can.

Raul D'Oliveira
One of my favourite UK session trumpet/flugelhorn players. Portuguese ex Wham! member Raul is famed for his appearances on 'Club Tropicana' and toured for years with Elton John, Joan Armatrading and Sir Cliff Richard. He is a freelance Christian musician and played for years with one of the best loved Christian songwriter/worship leaders of modern times, Graham Kendrick. He posses one of the finest and most recorded trumpet sounds in the UK. Accompanied by Birmingham's Miles Levin, Tim Amann and Mark Blackwell.
Every Thursday night expect the slinkiest live jazz with notes of gospel, latin, blues and funk from the finest local, national and international artists performing two sets with occasional impromptu jazz jams into the early hours and old school souljazz DJ sets from Yardbird owner, Ollie Lloyd filling the gaps.
Doors: 8pm till 2am. Free entry.

The Mourning Suns is a collaboration between lyricist Rosemary Wilkes and Guitarist Anthony Williams. The pair have been working together for the past two years under the name of Avalande and have recently been transformed under their new guise. T.M.S. are performing as an acoustic act, but are scouring the UK for their musical soul mates to bring their vision to fruition.
Wilkes’ poetry delves into the unknown and rests in an unsettling way over the cleverly crafted music, dreamt and fashioned by melancholies own Anthony Williams.

As well as Theatre members strutting their their stuff, the 'Crescent Unplugged' attracts some of the best acoustic musicians and singers in the Midlands as guest performers who are keen to showcase their talents to an appreciative audience.

6Fears7 is Bristol’s ‘Alternative Funkmeisters’ and have been soaked in a ready to go attitude since 2010. Their sound boasts a unique blend of alternative fusions, reminiscent of the early 90’s, with influences from RHCP, Incubus, RATM, Sublime and Primus.
You can expect 6Fears7 to present a raw and energetic funk fused performance, full of off the cuff jams.

House band at The Old Joint Stock Pub and Theatre, Birmingham, Four on the Floor is a vibrant young band formed from musicians of Birmingham Conservatoire. The piano trio, featuring Andy Bunting (piano), Nick Jurd (double bass) and Jonathan Silk (drums) is a swinging group working in and around the Birmingham area. Playing in various different venues for gigs and private functions, the band is building a strong reputation through regular playing, particularly at The Old Joint Stock. Playing many well known Jazz standards and exploring the tradition of Jazz music, the band is focussing on creating inventive music and entertaining listeners.
Afro-Peruvian rapper and producer Immortal Technique moved from Peru to New York to escape civil war in the 1980s. The C.I.A. sponsored suppression of the liberation struggle in his homeland, together with his experience of growing up on the mean streets of Harlem, politicised him and made him aware of his African heritage and of the wider revolutionary solidarity between the oppressed peoples of the world.
Enamored with hip hop and graffiti culture, the aspiring young emcee emerged from prison in 1999 into the ciphers and battles that would lead him to his current status as an international hip hop icon. Renowned for his hardcore brand of street politics, transmitted through his own independent label, Tech continues to find common cause with and inspire revolutionary movements all over the world.
