Thirty members of the choir will be singing a variety of well loved carols and seasonal tunes, including Ding Dong Merrily On High, O Little Town of Bethlehem and O Come All Ye Faithful, as well as some lesser known works, such as Adam Lay Ybounden, The Coventry Carol and JS Bach’s O Little One Sweet.

House band at The Old Joint Stock Pub and Theatre, Birmingham, Four on the Floor is a vibrant young band formed from musicians of Birmingham Conservatoire. The piano trio, featuring Andy Bunting (piano), Nick Jurd (double bass) and Jonathan Silk (drums) is a swinging group working in and around the Birmingham area. Playing in various different venues for gigs and private functions, the band is building a strong reputation through regular playing, particularly at The Old Joint Stock. Playing many well known Jazz standards and exploring the tradition of Jazz music, the band is focussing on creating inventive music and entertaining listeners.

The Atlantic Players
The Atlantic Players play old school Rhythm and Blues and Southern Soul classics. Hugely influenced by Stax, Willie Mitchell and generally most things from Memphis circa 1966. In our inaugural year we have had the pleasure in supporting Geno Washington, Booker T and the Mighty Steve Cropper, shared the bill with Craig Charles, Smoove and Turrell, Haggis Horns and Stone Foundation.
The Line-Up - Mick Laffoley on drums. Steve ‘Pretty Boy’ Bates on trumpet, Paul ‘Red’ Redding on bass and Andy Vine on keyboards. Keith Owen on guitar and backing vocals and Kate O’Malley on sax, flute and backing vocals. All led by Hugh ‘Swoop’ Blackwood Jr. on lead vocals. If you are partial to a bit of Southern Soul, check The Atlantics out!
